Although the Atlanta Community Access Coalition focuses primarily on providing access to health and social services, it does provide direct care, on a limited basis, via a mobile dental unit. The mobile dental unit team serves Fulton County by targeting uninsured and underinsured residents on the verge of entering or reentering the workforce. Typically, these residents would have completed or are undergoing job readiness training; the dental unit serves to enhance their physical appearance.

Working with ACAC coalition partners to identify qualified candidates, the mobile dental unit deploys weekly to provide much needed care. Some of the services provided are:

• Cleanings
• Fillings
• Extractions
• Tooth replacement
• Dentures
